Not interested in doing the typical bars and clubs for your bachelorette party? Other ideas you could do include: visiting an amusement park, attending a concert, going to karaoke someplace, playing bingo, going to a comedy club, having a dinner party, a game night, visiting an arcade, golfing, or a spa day. If you love being out on a boat like I do; consider a cruise or day on a yacht rental.

It seems like a fantastic place to celebrate a bachelorette or bachelor party. You'll want to look into Lake Travis in the Austin area as well. It seems wonderful for a weekend get-a-way or wedding festivities.

When inviting guests; be sure to let them know if there are any themes, outfit suggestions, or rules where you will be staying, going, etc.
Once I went to a sporting event with a larger bag...and apparently, their rules did not allow it. I had no clue so was not able to be let in. Another time I went to a club that was not even fancy in sandals...and was not let in! You want all the guests to be able to have a relaxed time.

You may want to designate certain guests task such as hosting at their home, organizing games, taking photos and creating a play list. To cut costs consider venues such as parks or community centers if hosting at a home or air b&b is not an option.
Guests usually do not mind pot-luck style events when I have been to gatherings. If all else fails; places such as Olive Garden or breakfast spots usually offer affordable catering options.
